Job Description

Job Summary Fairfield Inn Laurel is seeking a dependable, professional, and customer-focused Night Auditor to join our Front Desk team. The Night Auditor is responsible for providing excellent overnight guest service, completing the hotel's daily financial audit, and ensuring the safety and smooth operation of the property throughout the night. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and able to remain calm and professional when handling guest concerns. Responsibilities Welcome guests and complete check-ins and check-outs. Answer telephone calls and assist guests with questions and requests. Complete the nightly audit and accurately close the hotel's business day. Review room rates, payments, postings, and account balances for accuracy. Process payments, deposits, and third-party virtual credit cards. Maintain an accurate front desk cash drawer. Prepare and distribute required daily reports. Monitor hotel activity and help maintain a safe and secure environment. Respond professionally to guest concerns and document all incidents. Complete guest service requests and follow up to ensure satisfaction. Review reservations for accuracy and prepare for the next day's arrivals. Communicate important information to the morning shift and management. Keep the front desk and lobby clean, organized, and presentable. Follow Marriott standards and all hotel policies and procedures. Perform additional duties assigned by management. Qualifications Previous hotel front desk or night audit experience is preferred. Experience with Marriott systems is a plus. Strong customer service and communication skills. Basic accounting, cash-handling, and computer skills. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to handle emergencies and guest concerns professionally. Must be dependable and report to scheduled shifts on time. Must be available to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
