POSITION SUMMARY
At City Express by Marriott Minneapolis, our Front Desk Agents are the face of the hotel and play a critical role in delivering a seamless and welcoming guest experience. This role is responsible for managing guest interactions from arrival to departure while ensuring brand standards, operational procedures, and service excellence are consistently upheld.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES GUEST SERVICE & EXPERIENCE
Welcome guests in a professional, friendly, and engaging manner. Complete efficient check-in and check-out processes in accordance with Marriott standards. Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service throughout the stay. Respond promptly and effectively to guest requests, concerns, and service recovery situations. Maintain a positive and service-focused environment that enhances guest satisfaction and loyalty.RESERVATIONS & REVENUE SUPPORT
Process reservations, modifications, and cancellations accurately. Promote hotel services, amenities, and upsell opportunities when appropriate. Support Marriott Bonvoy enrollment and educate guests on program benefits. Ensure accuracy of guest profiles and preferences in the system.CASH HANDLING & TRANSACTIONS
Handle all cash, credit card, and electronic transactions with accuracy and integrity. Balance and reconcile shift transactions in compliance with hotel procedures. Maintain strict adherence to financial controls and audit standards.SYSTEMS & TECHNOLOGY
Operate Marriott-approved property management systems (PMS) efficiently. Utilize hotel systems for guest communication, task tracking, and operational updates. Ensure all guest data is handled securely and in compliance with Marriott privacy standards. Report system issues or discrepancies to management promptly.OPERATIONAL STANDARDS
Follow all Marriott brand standards and front office procedures. Maintain accurate records, logs, and communication notes. Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure room readiness. Support daily operational tasks as assigned by leadership.PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT
Maintain full uniform compliance, including proper grooming and visible name tag. Demonstrate professionalism, respect, and integrity in all interactions. Adhere to company policies regarding attendance, behavior, and workplace standards. Represent Marriott's service culture through positive communication and teamwork.SAFETY & COMPLIANCE
Follow all hotel safety and security procedures. Report incidents, hazards, or suspicious activity immediately. Ensure compliance with local, state, and brand regulations. Protect guest confidentiality at all times.QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required; college education preferred. Previous hotel front desk or guest service experience preferred. Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn hotel systems. Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.CORE COMPETENCIES
