Job Description
Position Summary The Night Audit Supervisor is responsible for overseeing overnight hotel operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining excellent guest service, and supporting the safety and security of the property during the night shift. This position supervises the night audit process, resolves guest concerns, and ensures a smooth transition between overnight and daytime operations. Key Responsibilities Supervise and support Night Auditors and overnight Front Desk staff. Complete and oversee the daily night audit process, including balancing guest accounts, room charges, payments, and hotel revenue. Verify and reconcile daily financial transactions, reports, and cash balances. Review occupancy, room status, rate discrepancies, and revenue reports for accuracy. Handle late-night guest arrivals, departures, requests, complaints, and emergencies professionally. Ensure accurate posting of room, tax, food and beverage, and other hotel charges. Monitor and maintain proper cash-handling and credit-card procedures. Prepare and distribute daily financial and operational reports to management. Communicate important overnight issues, maintenance concerns, guest incidents, and operational updates to the morning management team. Conduct regular property checks and follow hotel safety, security, and emergency procedures. Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, security, and other departments as needed. Train, coach, and evaluate overnight team members. Ensure compliance with hotel policies, standards, and applicable regulations. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front-desk environment. Perform other duties as assigned by hotel management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality or business education is a plus. Previous hotel Front Desk and/or Night Audit experience required. Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Strong knowledge of hotel accounting, cash handling, and reconciliation procedures. Experience with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) preferred. Excellent communication, customer-service, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with financial information. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during overnight hours. Ability to remain calm and professional when handling guest complaints or emergencies. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications. Work Schedule Primarily overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays as required. Must be comfortable working independently during late-night and early-morning hours.
Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 20.0 per weekBenefits:
