Medical, Dental, Vision and 401k Match About the Opportunity We are seeking a Payroll Supervisor to lead day-to-day payroll operations for a workforce of more than 20,000 employees nationwide. This is a fast-paced environment where the Payroll Supervisor will play a hands-on role in overseeing payroll operations, leading a team, maintaining compliance, and improving processes. The ideal candidate is highly systems-savvy, comfortable working with high-volume, multi-state payroll, and able to take ownership of the entire payroll process. Key Responsibilities Oversee bi-weekly payroll for more than 20,000 exempt and non-exempt employees across multiple states and jurisdictions. Lead, coach, train, and develop the payroll team while maintaining accountability and strong service levels. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including wage and hour requirements. Oversee payroll reconciliations, reporting, tax activities, and year-end processes. Support quarterly and year-end payroll tax reconciliations and filings, W-2s, bonuses, taxable fringe benefits, third-party sick pay, and related reporting. Serve as an escalation point for complex payroll issues and partner with HR, Finance, Operations, IT, HRIS, vendors, and government agencies. Maintain payroll procedures, controls, documentation, and workflows. Identify opportunities to improve payroll accuracy, efficiency, and processes. Take ownership of the payroll process and continue building strong operational practices. Must-Have Qualifications 5+ years of progressive payroll experience 5+ years of supervisory/management experience preferred Strong multi-state payroll experience Experience supporting hourly employees in a high-volume environment Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll taxation and compliance Strong experience with payroll reconciliations, reporting, tax filings, and year-end processes Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables and XLOOKUPs Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and leadership skills Highly systems-savvy with the ability to navigate and reconcile data across multiple systems Benefits 401(k) Medical insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
