Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a Bilingual Spanish Payroll Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Los Angeles, CA. This role is ideal for an experienced payroll professional with a strong restaurant, hospitality, retail, or multi-location operations background and advanced ADP Workforce Now Payroll expertise. The Bilingual Spanish Payroll Manager will oversee full-cycle payroll for 500+ employees, manage multi-state payroll compliance, and serve as the primary payroll subject matter expert for Human Resources, Finance, and Operations. - and Spanish-speaking employees and leaders. Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bi-weekly payroll processing for 500+ employees across multi-state operations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, payroll tax requirements, and labor regulations.
- Oversee payroll tax filings, reconciliations, quarter-end processing, year-end processing, audits, and reporting.
- Administer deductions, garnishments, wage assignments, benefits-related payroll transactions, and employee status changes.
- Review and process meal and rest period premium payments, labor compliance violations, and related payroll adjustments.
- Generate payroll reports and partner with Human Resources, Finance, Operations, and senior leadership to improve payroll accuracy and efficiency. Compensation and Benefits

- Manage full-cycle payroll processing for a high-volume employee population.
- Process multi-state payroll and support payroll compliance across restaurant or multi-location operations.
- Lead payroll reporting, reconciliations, audits, tax filings, and year-end payroll activities.
- Partner cross-functionally with Human Resources, Finance, and Operations on employee payroll changes and issue resolution.
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive payroll experience.
- Experience processing payroll for 500+ employees.
- Restaurant industry experience required.
- Advanced ADP Workforce Now Payroll experience required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting.
- Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll processing, payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and labor compliance requirements.
- Experience managing payroll deductions, garnishments, reconciliations, audits, and reporting.
- Bilingual Spanish and English skills required, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive payroll information with accuracy and professionalism.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, follow-through, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Human Resources, Finance, Operations, and senior leadership.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and unassisted.
- Ability to respond quickly to sounds, move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces, and safely climb ladders. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting restaurant, hospitality, retail, food and beverage, or other high-volume multi-location operations.
- Prior experience improving payroll processes, controls, reporting accuracy, or audit readiness.
- Experience serving as the primary payroll point of contact for employee and manager payroll inquiries.
