Job Description
New Beginnings for Life is looking for a full-time (40 hours) onsite HR / Payroll Manager responsible (but not limited to) the following:
- Responsible for accurately processing employee payroll, including calculations, deductions, and withholdings. (Paychex)
- Manage garnishments while following federal and state regulations.
- Collect and verify timekeeping information, and resolve payroll-related inquiries for all employees,
- Reconcile payroll data, including benefits, taxes, and other deductions.
- Manage various HR functions, such as recruitment, onboarding, and terminations.
- Processing 401k
- Checking in on staff and residents to ensure proper quality and protocols are being met. This will include driving personal vehicle with paid mileage.
- Attending unemployment hearings
- Working with the State of CT time recording EVV system
- Assisting with onboarding and training
- Performing a wide variety of office assistance tasks and running a variety of reports.
- Conducting quality surveys Qualified candidates must have experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and behavioral needs and be willing to provide direct care to any participant in the program in the event that coverage can not be found.
- Maintaining healthy communicating with families and ensuring their needs
- Maintain DDS mandated trainings including CPR/First Aid, PMT, Abuse & Neglect, HIPAA, etc.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Knowledge of individualized planning for people with differing abilities Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and adequate typing skills Experience using G-Mail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive Organizational Skills Ability to memorize medical, behavioral, and programming guidelines for multiple individuals and implement them effectively Ability to flex schedule to fit the needs of the program Experience analyzing data, writing reports, and presenting at team meetings Ability to work well as part of a teamREQUIREMENTS
Must have a High School Diploma or GED Must be at least 18 years of age Must have a current driver's license and reliable transportation Current CPR/First Aid, PMT, & DDS Medication Administration Certifications (preferred) Ability to pass criminal history background check, DMV record check, Abuse & Neglect Registry Check, and Sex Offender Registry Check Experience managing staff/staffing schedulesJob Type:
