Sage 300 CRE Software a plus Payroll Specialist is a professional responsible for managing and processing an organization's employee payroll. Calculating employee timesheets, wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions. Examine and verify the accuracy. Make sure employees are paid correctly, on time, and in compliance with applicable laws and company policies. Processing payroll weekly, accurately and on schedule Managing taxes, benefits, garnishments, and other payroll deductions Maintaining payroll records and employee information Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws Resolving employee questions or issues related to pay Preparing payroll reports and assisting with audits Helping employees navigate the payroll software Problem solving skills. From compliance issues and tax discrepancies to miscalculations, so many problems can arise while processing payroll. A successful payroll administrator needs to be capable of solving any problems that may arise in a competent, logical and efficient manner. You also need to be able to anticipate potential challenges that could complicate matters further. Computer proficiency. Microsoft, Excel, Word documents, admins need to grasp standard programs used at any office. You will also need extensive working knowledge of industry software specifically designed for processing payrolls.
