St. Louis, MO Job Details Contract 1 day ago Qualifications Payroll tax processing State tax Excel data analysis Full Job Description Senior Payroll Consultant - 6-Month Contract PEG Staffing & Recruiting is seeking a Senior Payroll Consultant/Specialist for our prestigious nonprofit client for this 6-month contract opportunity located in St. Louis County, Missouri. This role is ideal for an experienced payroll professional with strong full-cycle payroll, reconciliation, compliance, and payroll systems experience. The Senior Payroll Consultant/Specialist will serve as a payroll subject matter expert and support payroll operations, reporting, system improvements, and special projects. Responsibilities Process and audit full-cycle payroll accurately and on schedule. Reconcile payroll, taxes, deductions, timekeeping, direct deposits, and general ledger activity. Research and resolve complex payroll discrepancies and issues. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll requirements. Support Enterprise ADP V6 and eTime , including processing, reporting, troubleshooting, and system support. Handle quarterly and year-end payroll activities, including W-2s and tax reconciliations. Develop payroll reports and perform data analysis using advanced Excel. Support payroll/HRIS implementations, upgrades, integrations, and process improvements. Partner with HR, Finance, Benefits, and IT on payroll-related issues and projects. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and payroll information. Qualifications 5+ years of progressive payroll experience , including full-cycle payroll and reconciliation. Strong knowledge of payroll tax and wage-and-hour requirements. ADP experience; ADP V6 and eTime strongly preferred. Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, and PivotTables. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Multi-state payroll experience preferred. Higher education payroll experience preferred. Payroll/HRIS implementation or process improvement experience strongly desired. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, HR, or related field preferred. CPP or FPC certification preferred.
