Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations, ensure compliance, and lead a team of payroll professionals. Responsibilities
- Manage accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3+ payroll professionals.
- Serve as a payroll subject matter expert for tax compliance, audits, reporting, and reconciliations.
- Partner with Accounting and Finance on payroll and general ledger activities.
- Review and improve payroll processes, internal controls, and workflows.
- Identify inefficiencies and implement solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency. Requirements
- Strong payroll management experience with hands-on UKG experience.
- Strong knowledge of California labor and employment laws; Hawaii and Oregon knowledge is a plus.
- Experience leading and developing payroll teams.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
- Proven ability to improve processes and drive operational efficiencies.
Schedule:
Hybrid - 2 days onsite in San Rafael, CA / 3 days remote- Strong payroll management experience with hands-on UKG experience.
- Strong knowledge of California labor and employment laws; Hawaii and Oregon knowledge is a plus.
