Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations, ensure compliance, and lead a team of payroll professionals. Responsibilities

• Manage accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3+ payroll professionals.
• Serve as a payroll subject matter expert for tax compliance, audits, reporting, and reconciliations.
• Partner with Accounting and Finance on payroll and general ledger activities.
• Review and improve payroll processes, internal controls, and workflows.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency. Requirements
• Strong payroll management experience with hands-on UKG experience.
• Strong knowledge of California labor and employment laws; Hawaii and Oregon knowledge is a plus.
• Experience leading and developing payroll teams.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
• Proven ability to improve processes and drive operational efficiencies.

Schedule:

Hybrid - 2 days onsite in San Rafael, CA / 3 days remote
