Job Description
Payroll Coordinator Job Summary:
We are looking for an efficient Payroll Coordinator to be responsible for all payroll processes. The payroll coordinator's duties include the management of employee data, ensuring the accuracy of hours worked, computing wages, and ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time. To be successful as a payroll coordinator you should have strong numeracy skills and be able to multitask effectively. Ultimately, an outstanding payroll coordinator should be able to manage all aspects of payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Processing Payroll:
Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll for all employees.
Compliance:
Ensure all payroll transactions comply with federal, state, and local tax laws and employment standards.
Record Maintenance:
Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.
Reporting:
Prepare and distribute payroll reports to managers and stakeholders.
Issue Resolution:
Resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues. Coordination with
HR:
Work closely with HR to coordinate benefits, deductions, and time-off accruals.
Audits:
Conduct audits and verifications of payroll records.
Employee Support:
Answer employee questions and concerns regarding payroll.
Accounting & Treasury Assistance:
Process treasury transactions and assist the accounting department with payroll analysis.
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in payroll processing. Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel proficient. Familiarity with tax procedures and relevant legislation. Proficiency with payroll software. Strong attention to detail, time management, and excellent organizational skills. Able to prioritize and multitask effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred qualifications:
Degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related field. Workday and/or ADP experience.
