Payroll Specialist - Iron Horse Companies About Us Iron Horse Companies is a fast-growing commercial plumbing contractor expanding into full mechanical services. We pride ourselves on quality work, strong financial management, and building teams that take ownership and grow with the company. As we continue to expand across multiple states, we are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. Position Overview The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll for employees in Arizona and other states. This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of payroll compliance, and the ability to manage multi-state payroll regulations. Multi-state payroll experience is preferred but not required. This position plays a critical role in supporting our field and office teams by ensuring payroll is processed correctly, on time, and in compliance with all applicable laws. Key Responsibilities Process weekly in house payroll for 100+ employees Handle certified payroll reporting and prevailing wage tracking Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws Maintain accurate payroll records, employee data, and timekeeping systems Coordinate with HR and accounting regarding new hires, terminations, benefits, and deductions Reconcile payroll reports, conduct internal audits, and assist with general ledger entries Handle garnishments, levies, and other withholdings Manage quarterly taxes/reporting and year-end processes including W-2 preparation Respond to employee payroll-related questions in a timely and professional manner Qualifications Bilingual (Spanish and English)
