Job Description
Secondary Duties:
Support a variety of general accounting and administrative tasks as needed. Assist with audits, reporting requests, and special projects. Participate in process improvement initiatives related to payroll and accounting operations. What minimum background will make you successful? Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred, but not required. Knowledge of payroll processes and basic accounting principles. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Goal-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and adhere to company policies and procedures. Ability to work effectively and professionally under pressure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
Preferred skills: Experience processing payroll in a multi-department or government contracting environment. Knowledge of government contracting regulations such as FAR, DFARS, and related compliance requirements. Experience with payroll systems, ERP/MRP platforms, and timekeeping software. Strong understanding of payroll accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close procedures. Experience preparing journal entries and supporting financial audits. Familiarity with contract billing, indirect rates, and government contract types (CPFF, FFP, T&M, etc.). Experience working cross-functionally with HR, Contracts, and Program Management teams. 2+ years of related payroll and accounting experience. Where is the position located? This position is located at our Tucson, AZ Headquarters. This position is a full-time, onsite role requiring 40 hours per week. The likely hourly wage for this position is $31.25 to $36.05. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
