GED Full Job Description The Role:
The Payroll Technician is responsible for supporting the accurate and timely processing of weekly and bi-weekly payrolls. Working closely with the Payroll Manager and Payroll Team, this position performs payroll data entry, audits payroll records, reconciles payroll transactions, and ensures compliance with company policies and applicable federal and state regulations. Location(s):
Yuma, AZ Areas of Responsibility :
Collect and review payroll records daily from various departments, validating information for accuracy and completeness. Calculate and verify daily hours worked, including meal and rest break compliance, and accurately enter timekeeping data into payroll systems. Audit payroll entries and process internal payroll reports to ensure accuracy and compliance. Process weekly payroll activities, including payroll checks, employee resignations, and terminations, ensuring timely and accurate final pay calculations. Reconcile payroll payments and prepare payroll checks for employee distribution. Scan, organize, maintain and securely store payroll records and files. Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and internal departments. Perform other payroll-related duties and special projects as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED required, Bachelor's Degree Preferred. Ability to multitask and handle a high volume of transactions daily during demanding seasons. Be bi-lingual and li-literate in English and Spanish with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Minimum of five (5) years of payroll processing experience. Experience using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, Power Point, JDE and UKG. Great attention to detail, analyzing and interpreting data for accuracy. Ability to relocate to Yuma, AZ.
