Job Description

Overview Payroll Specialist and HR Assistant, where your expertise will drive accurate payroll processing and seamless HR support. In this vital role, you will manage weekly payroll systems, ensure compliance with labor and tax laws, and assist with HR functions that foster a positive employee experience. Your approach and attention to detail will contribute to the smooth operation of payroll and human resources. Duties Process payroll accurately, must be able to manually caculate weekly timecards, understand a 4/10 schedule, vs 5/8. Maintain and update employee records within HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and HR systems to ensure data integrity. Reconcile payroll accounts through detailed analysis of spreadsheets, general ledger entries, and accounting software using QuickBooks. Ensure compliance with employment laws, labor regulations, and payroll tax requirements by staying current on relevant legislation. Specifically understanding the new FSLA law in regard to Qualifying and NON-Qualifying. Handle confidential information with integrity while managing payroll data entry, employee inquiries, and documentation. Assist in the preparation of journal entries related to payroll transactions for governmental accounting and financial reporting purposes. Track employee hours accurately for payroll processing. Provide support for payroll management activities including tax law compliance, payroll tax filings, and audit preparation Experience Proven experience working with payroll systems. Familiarity with HRIS platforms and time & attendance systems used in large organizations. Knowledge of employment & labor law along with payroll tax regulations at local, state, and federal levels. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information responsibly while managing data entry tasks efficiently. Experience supporting payroll processing activities within a fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail and accuracy. Skills in spreadsheets and financial software for analysis and account reconciliation purposes. Your technical expertise in payroll management combined with your proactive HR support will make a meaningful impact.
Pay:
