Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Certified Payroll Clerk for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Concord, CA. This role is ideal for a detail-driven payroll professional with strong certified payroll knowledge, construction payroll experience, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-focused environment. The Certified Payroll Clerk will support weekly payroll processing, certified payroll compliance, reporting, employee documentation, garnishments, VOEs, and audit support. - Process weekly payroll accurately and on schedule while maintaining complete payroll records and supporting documentation.
- Prepare, review, and process weekly certified payroll reports for accuracy and compliance.
- Enter and maintain certified payroll data in LCPtracker, DIR, OCPS, and LNI.
- Access and maintain apprentice certificates through DIR and support certified payroll compliance requirements.
- Process Verifications of Employment, employee garnishments, deductions, and related documentation.
- Assist with monthly payroll reports, compliance reporting, benefit audits, and other payroll-related projects as assigned. Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $26.00 to $31.00 per hour.

Location:
Concord, CA. Required Qualifications and Skills- Process weekly payroll and certified payroll in a high-volume construction payroll environment.
- Maintain certified payroll compliance records and reporting through systems such as LCPtracker, DIR, OCPS, and LNI.
- Support payroll audits, benefit audits, VOEs, garnishments, and monthly compliance reporting.
- 6 to 10 years of relevant payroll, certified payroll, or payroll administration experience.
- Knowledge of certified payroll requirements, wage compliance, and supporting documentation.
- Experience processing garnishments, including deductions and required documentation.
- Experience completing Verifications of Employment and assisting with benefit or payroll audits.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong 10-key skills with speed and accuracy.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong multitasking, organization, and prioritization skills in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications
- Construction payroll and certified payroll experience.
- Familiarity with LCPtracker and California DIR.
- Experience supporting payroll compliance within industrial facilities, infrastructure, or related construction environments.
