Certified Payroll Administrator
Job Description
Description We are seeking a Payroll Administrator II to process weekly, multi-state payroll and certified payroll for a large workforce. This role works closely with HR, project teams, contractors, and external agencies to ensure accurate pay and compliance with prevailing wage requirements. Responsibilities
+ Process full-cycle, high-volume payroll for union and non-union employees.
+ Audit timecards and calculate wages, taxes, deductions, bonuses, and union fringe benefits.
+ Prepare and submit certified payroll reports and supporting compliance documents.
+ Review project requirements and subcontractor payroll documentation for prevailing wage compliance.
+ Import timecard data, enter labor allocations, and process final pay and check adjustments.
+ Respond to employee payroll questions and coordinate with HR to maintain accurate employee records.
+ Prepare monthly union fringe reports and support year-end payroll processes.
+ Maintain accurate records and protect confidential employee information. Requirements Qualifications
+ At least five years of union and prevailing wage payroll experience.
+ Experience processing high-volume, multi-state payroll for a medium or large organization.
+ Knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws, payroll taxes, and certified payroll requirements.
+ Strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet weekly deadlines.
+ Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently and across teams.
+ Bachelor's degree in business or accounting and CPP certification preferred.
