An established entertainment company is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations during a temporary assignment. This role will assist with processing payroll for a large employee population, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations, and partnering with HR and Finance teams to maintain accurate employee records and payroll reporting. The ideal candidate has experience working in fast-paced environments, strong payroll knowledge, and excellent problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls for both hourly and salaried employees Review payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll submission Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, status changes, and deductions Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including multi-state payroll requirements Handle garnishments, wage attachments, tax notices, and employee payroll inquiries Reconcile payroll reports, earnings, deductions, and benefit withholdings Support payroll audits and assist with month-end reporting activities Generate payroll-related reports and provide data to HR, Finance, and management teams as needed Collaborate with HR regarding employee transactions impacting payroll Assist with payroll system updates, testing, and special projects as assigned Qualifications 3+ years of payroll processing experience Experience supporting payroll in a high-volume environment Knowledge of federal and state payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, and payroll tax compliance Experience with major payroll or HRIS platforms such as ADP, Workday, UKG, SAP, Ceridian, or similar systems Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and data reconciliation High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
