Payroll Administrative Assistant Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required 2-3 years of administrative experience supporting payroll, HR, accounting, or related office functions Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong verbal and written communication skills Professional, dependable, and able to maintain confidentiality Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook Experience with payroll, HR, or applicant tracking systems (Avionté, BOLD, Doc Record, or similar) preferred Staffing, payroll, or high-volume office experience is a plus Valid California driver's license
Provide administrative support for Payroll, Human Resources, Accounting, and Recruiting operations Assist with payroll processing, payroll documentation, and employee timecard follow-up Support employee onboarding, including orientations, background checks, drug screens, E-Verify, and new hire paperwork Maintain accurate employee, applicant, and client records within company software systems Scan, upload, organize, and maintain payroll, HR, accounting, and client documentation Assist with payroll check distribution, invoicing, deposits, accounts payable support, and other accounting functions Respond to employment verifications and assist with HR compliance documentation, audits, and employee records Support workers' compensation, leave of absence, DOT, and other employee-related documentation Assist Recruiting with job postings, applicant communication, interview scheduling, and social media recruiting Provide front desk coverage and general administrative support as needed Communicate professionally with employees, applicants, clients, and internal staff by phone, email, and text Perform other duties as assigned Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee for this position.
