Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced CPP Sr. Payroll Specialist to oversee accurate and timely payroll operations for a mid-sized employee population in California. This position is ideal for someone who can manage end-to-end payroll activities, maintain compliance with payroll regulations, and resolve complex pay-related issues with confidence. The role also requires strong judgment, precision, and a service-focused approach when supporting employees and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities:
+ Process payroll for ~200 staff (140 W2, 60 K-1 partners) using ADP Workforce Now + Handle partner equity payouts; verify calculations from accounting + Ensure multi-state payroll compliance (CA, CO, TX) and stay current on regulations + Manage weekly payroll cycles for exempt and non-exempt employees Requirements + CPP certification required + Expert in ADP Workforce Now + Experience in professional services (law, architecture, engineering); familiar with partner equity structures + Detail-oriented with strong accuracy and proactive in tracking regulatory updates Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
