Payroll & HR Clerk - Toyota of Whittier Toyota of Whittier - 3.2 Whittier, CA Job Details Full-time $18 - $20 an hour 14 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description We are seeking a reliable and organized entry-level Payroll and Human Resources Clerk to assist with daily HR, payroll, and general office duties. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential employee information professionally. Responsibilities Assist with employee onboarding and new-hire paperwork Maintain accurate and confidential employee files Assist with reviewing timecards and correcting missing punches Enter and update employee information in the payroll system Assist with payroll preparation and recordkeeping Track attendance, paid time off, and employee documentation Assist with employment verifications, background checks, and required training Coordinate and assist employees with the annual benefits open enrollment process Respond to basic employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, and company procedures Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and other HR-related documents File, scan, copy, and organize documents Answer phones and direct calls as needed Assist with other HR, payroll, and office duties as assigned Skills Previous office, payroll, or human resources experience preferred but not required High school diploma or equivalent Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent attention to detail Clear written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Dependable, professional, and willing to learn Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced office environment Benefits 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance
