$60,000-$70,000 per year Full-Time About Knallhart Management Group Knallhart Management Group is a South Florida-based hospitality management company overseeing a diverse portfolio of restaurants, bars, nightlife venues, and event-driven concepts. Our team provides operational, financial, administrative, and strategic support to our venues while allowing each concept to maintain its own unique identity. We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Payroll Specialist & Bookkeeper to join our team in Fort Lauderdale. This position will play an important role in supporting the financial and payroll operations of multiple hospitality businesses within our portfolio. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable managing multiple entities and deadlines, and understands the fast-paced nature of the hospitality industry. Payroll Responsibilities Process accurate and timely weekly and/or biweekly payroll for multiple restaurant, bar, and hospitality entities. Manage payroll through Toast Payroll and ADP , including reviewing hours, wages, overtime, tips, deductions, bonuses, reimbursements, and other payroll adjustments. Review employee timecards for accuracy and work with venue managers to resolve missing punches, incorrect hours, or other discrepancies before payroll is processed. Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, direct deposit information, tax withholding, and deductions. Ensure tipped employees, tip reporting, and applicable payroll practices are handled accurately. Review payroll reports and identify discrepancies before payroll is finalized. Assist managers and employees with payroll-related questions and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. Maintain accurate PTO, sick time, and other applicable employee balances. Support payroll tax reporting, workers' compensation audits, unemployment claims, garnishments, and other payroll-related compliance requirements. Maintain confidentiality of employee compensation and payroll information. Bookkeeping Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records across multiple hospitality entities. Record and categorize daily financial transactions. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts. Review and reconcile restaurant sales and deposits against POS and banking activity. Assist with accounts payable, including invoice entry, coding, vendor statements, and payment tracking. Assist with accounts receivable and tracking outstanding balances when applicable. Maintain vendor records and assist with resolving billing discrepancies. Record and reconcile intercompany transactions between related entities. Assist with month-end closing procedures, reconciliations, and preparation of supporting schedules. Maintain organized documentation for invoices, receipts, payments, deposits, and other financial records. Assist accounting leadership with financial reporting, audits, tax preparation, and other accounting projects as needed. Identify discrepancies or unusual activity and proactively work to resolve issues. Qualifications 2+ years of payroll, bookkeeping, accounting, or related experience preferred. Experience processing payroll for hourly and salaried employees. Experience with Toast Payroll and/or ADP strongly preferred . Restaurant, hospitality, nightlife, or multi-location experience is a major plus. Strong understanding of payroll practices, reconciliations, accounts payable, and general bookkeeping principles. Comfortable working with multiple companies, bank accounts, payrolls, and deadlines simultaneously. Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to communicate effectively with managers, employees, vendors, and accounting leadership. Ability to handle confidential payroll and financial information with discretion. Dependable, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment. What We're Looking For This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on and taking ownership of the details. With multiple hospitality concepts operating simultaneously, we need someone who can stay organized, follow through, and make sure payroll and financial records are accurate and completed on schedule. You should be comfortable communicating directly with venue managers when information is missing, investigating discrepancies instead of simply passing them along, and managing multiple priorities without losing attention to detail. Compensation $60,000-$70,000 per year , based on experience.
