Payroll Administrator Lakeland Automall - 3.3 Lakeland, FL Job Details $22 - $27 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance 401(k) matching Employee discount Life insurance Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Payroll Administrator Lakeland Automall is seeking an experienced and detail‑driven Payroll Administrator to join our growing HR team. We're looking for a professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, adapts quickly to change, and brings strong analytical skills, accuracy, and initiative to the role. As our dealership continues to expand, this position plays a key part in ensuring smooth, compliant, and timely payroll operations. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, open to taking on new responsibilities, and comfortable supporting a wide range of evolving HR and payroll needs. Job Responsibilities Manage the preparation, calculation, and processing of weekly payroll for a large and continually growing workforce (350+) that includes hourly, salaried, and commissioned employees. Ensure all employees are paid accurately and on schedule; investigate and resolve discrepancies when they arise. Partner with department managers to verify the accuracy of departmental payroll data and resolve issues prior to processing. Work closely with the HR Manager to process new hires, maintain employee records, and manage terminations. Enter, track, and maintain all garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, and other special payroll deductions. Conduct monthly audits of insurance invoices to ensure proper employee deductions. Maintain strict confidentiality and protect payroll operations and employee information. Keep payroll systems and employee records updated with current information, including pay rates, tax status, benefits, and contact details. Track and maintain employee leave balances. Stay informed on changes to local, state, and federal payroll laws and regulations. Pursue ongoing professional development to stay current with payroll best practices and system enhancements. Education and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum 2 years of full‑cycle payroll experience . Familiarity with Paycor or automotive dealership payroll systems is a strong plus. Solid understanding of federal and state payroll laws and regulations. High level of confidentiality, maturity, and discretion. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong communication, organizational skills, and exceptional attention to detail. Dependable, able to set priorities, and capable of working independently. HR experience and certification is a plus. Benefits Competitive hourly wage of $22-$27 , commensurate with experience.
