Job Description

Job Description Insight Global is seeking to hire a Payroll Specialist to support a private management company based in Miami, FL. This is a direct hire opportunity that will work in a hybrid capacity, in the office Tuesday - Thursday, and remote on Mondays/Fridays. The primary objectives of the Payroll Specialist are to (1) partner with internal clients to process payroll accurately and timely, (2) provide oversight while ensuring the company is compliant with all federal, state, and local laws as they relate to employee payroll, and (3) act as a liaison with company leaders to drive satisfaction with internal customers. The Payroll Specialist will report to the Payroll Manager and create a well-maintained and efficient payroll processing environment with adequate controls, delivering timely and accurate information to all stakeholders.
Essential Tasks:
Payroll Processing (60%)
  • Run and reconcile scheduled payroll cycles (bi-weekly / semi-monthly) for 3,000+ employees locally and multi-state.
  • Process and monitor off-cycle payrolls when checks are needed immediately for legal/compliance reasons or to fulfill urgent requests.
  • Administer our online timekeeper and help resolve all related issues and questions including all transactions that are not entered by the employee or received via interface such as Pay Codes, Holiday Rules, and Pay Methods. Reporting, Compliance, and Oversight (30%)
  • Complete DOL reporting.
  • Receive, analyze and administer child support orders, state and federal tax levies, and garnishments in compliance with all legal requirements.
  • Recommends or participates in the development of new procedures and policies related to payroll operations utilizing knowledge of state and federal policies and regulations. Enforce pay policies.
  • Compiles financial, tax and payroll reports for both internal and external purpose; submits to supervisor for review.
  • Assist to issues W-2 Wage and Tax Statement reprints. Processes and maintains W-4 tax data and changes in personal data.
  • Prepared monthly reports documenting activity for retirement, insurance, and payroll accounts Drive satisfaction among internal customers (10%)
  • Serve as liaison between schools and Payroll department.
  • Actively build positive relationships through effective communication between support teams and decentralized leadership teams.
  • Educate and inform new team members of the Endeavor team regarding payroll processes.
  • Provide timely and courteous service.
  • Provide support to address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and supervisors received by e-mail and phone.
  • Seek out constructive suggestions from internal customers to continuously improve service and efficiency.
  • Timely response to ad hoc requests from team members and leadership.

  • Minimum Associates Degree or relevant payroll processing experience. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience processing payroll.
  • Prior payroll experience working with outside payroll service providers such as ADP, Paychex, etc.
  • Payroll processing experience in a company of at least 500+ employees.
-Bachelors degree related to accounting, finance or related is preferred
