Full-Time Position M-F (7:30AM - 4:30PM) Laura Automotive Group is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable full-time Payroll Clerk to join our team! This position plays an important role in supporting our employees through accurate and timely payroll processing, as well as coordinating the onboarding process for new hires. The Payroll Clerk is responsible for compiling and maintaining accurate payroll records for both union and non-union employees, processing payroll-related information, and ensuring accurate reporting to the Office Manager and Payroll Supervisor. This position also supports the new hire onboarding process, including completing onboarding tasks, reviewing required documentation, and ensuring new employee information is entered accurately and timely. The Payroll Clerk must maintain confidentiality, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and provide dependable support to employees and management throughout the organization.Essential Duties:
Responsible for managing the set-up, documents, and data entry for new hires into the payroll system Serve as first point of contact for basic logistical questions from new hires Communicate clearly with new employees via email and phone Understands employee onboarding payroll issues, and communicates solutions effectively, professionally, and respectfully Updates master payroll records by confirming and recording changes affecting net wages such as federal and state tax exemptions, insurance coverage, etc., and data concerning compensation increases, promotions and/or transfer of employees between departmentsTimekeeping:
collect, review, and verify time sheets for accuracy Prepares/files all hiring and termination paperwork including COBRA letters Maintains records for paid-time-off and sick-day eligibility Remains fully compliant with Company HR trainings Maintain professional and courteous attitude, wardrobe, and grooming Other tasks as assignedCompany Description:
