Monday- Friday Position Summary Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join their corporate payroll team.
- Process U.S. and Canadian payroll accurately and within established deadlines.
- Review payroll data, identify discrepancies, and resolve processing issues.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of employee payroll information.
- Complete payroll reconciliations and ensure accuracy of payroll records.
- Assist with payroll compliance requirements, including tax documentation such as W-2s and Form 941.
- Provide professional payroll support and guidance to employees and management.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure accurate payroll processing.
- Maintain payroll procedures, documentation, and standard operating processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to payroll systems and processes.
- Assist with additional payroll projects and reporting as needed. Qualifications
- 3+ years of general office, accounting, or related administrative experience; payroll experience preferred.
- Associate degree preferred or equivalent work experience. Strong understanding of accounting principles and mathematical calculations.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with payroll systems, timekeeping systems, or HRIS platforms is preferred.
