Mission, KS Job Details $65,000 a year 22 hours ago Qualifications Mid-level 2 years Full Job Description Payroll Specialist | Johnson County, KS Direct Hire| up to $65K LHH is partnering with a well-established financial institution seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with experience supporting both payroll operations and HR operations. This role will serve as a key point of contact for employees, ensuring accurate payroll processing while also supporting additional HR operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing payroll administration with employee support and HR coordination in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Process payroll accurately and on schedule for multi-state employees. Maintain employee payroll records, deductions, garnishments, tax withholdings, and benefit elections. Audit payroll data and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Support payroll reporting, reconciliations, and compliance activities. Respond to employee payroll inquiries while maintaining confidentiality. Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, including offer documentation and new hire paperwork. Facilitate background checks, employment verifications, and onboarding compliance requirements. Maintain employee records within HRIS and payroll systems. Assist with employee orientations and new hire communications. Ensure completion of required onboarding documentation and employment forms. Support benefits enrollment and employee lifecycle changes.
QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of payroll processing experience. Experience supporting employee onboarding, HR administration, or human resources functions. Strong understanding of payroll compliance, tax regulations, and employee recordkeeping. Experience with HRIS and payroll systems such as ADP, UKG, Paycom, Paylocity, Workday, or similar platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Pay Details:
