Job Description
Payroll Specialist
We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to support accurate and timely payroll operations for a large employee population. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is confident managing end-to-end payroll activities across multiple states and ensuring compliance with applicable payroll regulations. The role requires strong attention to detail, hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now, and the ability to maintain a consistent, high-quality payroll process in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process complete payroll cycles for a workforce of more than 500 employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation.
- Administer payroll for employees working in multiple states while applying relevant tax, wage, and compliance requirements.
- Use ADP Workforce Now to enter, review, and validate payroll data, including earnings, deductions, adjustments, and employee updates.
- Audit payroll information before final submission to identify discrepancies and resolve issues that could affect employee pay.
- Partner with internal teams to address payroll questions, research exceptions, and provide clear resolution to payroll-related concerns.
- Maintain payroll records and reporting to support compliance, reconciliations, and internal review needs.
- Monitor payroll practices and assist with process updates or system-related changes when needed as part of ongoing operations.
- Proven experience handling full-cycle payroll from initial data review through final payroll submission and reporting.
- Background processing payroll for employees across multiple states with a solid understanding of payroll compliance requirements.
- Hands-on proficiency with ADP Workforce Now in a payroll-focused environment.
- Experience supporting payroll operations for an employee population of 500 or more.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail when reviewing payroll data, deductions, taxes, and adjustments.
- Ability to manage deadlines effectively and maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee information.
