Job Description:

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing the full-cycle payroll process for both field and office employees. This role ensures compliance with prevailing wage requirements, including the Davis-Bacon Act, as well as all applicable state and federal wage-and-hour laws. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to reconcile production data with payroll records.

Payroll Responsibilities:

Collect and review electronic timesheets and process accurate weekly payrollMaintain payroll deductions, earnings, deferrals, and withholdings for all employeesMaintain and track PTOProvide information and clarification for any employee questions related to payrollProcess and maintain records of child support and other garnishment deductions as required by legal documentsProcess and maintain certified payrolls as required per contract agreements

Requirements:

Discretion and trustworthiness due to frequent contact with confidential materialsProven working experience in PayrollProven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figuresHands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and QuickBooks accounting softwareProficiency in English and in MS OfficeHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detail
