Accounting Specialist Saginaw Bay Yacht Club - Essexville, Michigan Join Our Team at One of Michigan's Premier Private Yacht Clubs The Saginaw Bay Yacht Club (SBYC) is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Accounting Specialist to support the Club's financial operations. This position plays a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing daily transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting the General Manager and Finance Committee. The ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) , bank reconciliations, and point-of-sale accounting systems. Primary Responsibilities Maintain the Club's accounting records using QuickBooks Online (QBO) . Process accounts payable and oversee accounts receivable. Record daily deposits and cash receipts. Perform bank, credit card, and investment account reconciliations . Reconcile daily sales from SBYC's Point-of-Use (POU)/Point-of-Sale system with bank deposits and accounting records. Process journal entries and general ledger adjustments. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. Maintain vendor files and prepare payments. Support annual CPA reviews, audits, and tax reporting. Maintain accurate membership billing and financial records. Assist with budget tracking and financial reporting. Ensure compliance with established accounting policies and internal controls. Maintain confidentiality of all financial and member information. Qualifications Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is required. Experience reconciling multiple bank accounts and financial statements. Experience working with Point-of-Sale (POS/POU) systems preferred. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Excellent Microsoft Excel skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines. Compensation & Work Hours $18 to $24 per hour, based upon experience. Work hours range between 24 to 32 hours per week.
