Are you available to work on-site in Newport, MN? Our client is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to join their team. This is a full-time, 100% on-site position.
JOB DETAILS

Newport, MN Schedule:
100% onsite, Monday - Friday, Standard Business Hours, Occasional OT Evenings/Weekends. Some flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement may be possible on occasion.
Compensation:
$30 to $38+/hr. Direct Hire opportunity with a full benefits package included Background Check Required
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Process payroll accurately and efficiently using UKG and ADP Workforce Now Process Improvement ideas are welcome. Collect, verify, and maintain confidential employee and pay-period data. Support benefits administration and resolve timekeeping issues. Update payroll information for new hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations. Maintain employee records, tax documents, and payroll transactions. Respond to payroll-related questions and ensure compliance with policies and regulations. Generate reports, maintain data integrity, and assist with standardized reporting. Collaborate with the Payroll Supervisor on projects and perform additional duties as assigned. Work independently and as part of a team. Perform backup supervisory job duties in collaboration with Payroll Supervisor.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree or higher HIGHLY preferred. 5+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience with a payroll software other than QuickBooks (i.e., Workday, ADP, UKG, Dayforce, etc.) Previous experience with full-cycle payroll processing software other than QuickBooks is required. Strong knowledge of payroll principles and procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines. Willingness to work overtime as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field. Experience with ADP Workforce Now and UKG. Bilingual in Spanish. Experience with payroll system upgrades or integrations Interest in professional growth and process improvement initiatives.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Regular computer use, extended periods of sitting, occasional lifting up to 25 lbs, and schedule flexibility during payroll cycles.
