Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper and Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. Duties Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger maintenance using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar systems Process payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations while handling deductions, benefits, and tax filings Perform bank reconciliations and account analysis to ensure the accuracy of financial data across multiple accounts Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records, verifying invoices, processing payments, and tracking outstanding balances Prepare financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Conduct regular account reconciliation activities to ensure consistency across financial systems and records Assist with budgeting processes and provide support for technical accounting tasks related to nonprofit or corporate accounting standards Skills Extensive experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, and other financial systems Strong understanding of GAAP standards and double-entry bookkeeping principles Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) for data analysis, report writing, and financial modeling Knowledge of payroll processing procedures including tax compliance and benefits administration Ability to perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation accurately Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills for managing multiple financial tasks simultaneously Effective communication skills for preparing clear financial reports and collaborating with team members on budget planning and financial analysis Join us in this rewarding role where your expertise will directly impact our organization's success.
