Job Description

Job description: Viking Tree & landscaping is a growing landscape and snow removal company located in Concord, New Hampshire that is actively seeking an experienced Payroll officer.
The Payroll Officer will:
Process payroll bi-weekly to ensure that employees are compensated correctly and on time. Manually enter all timesheets for all employees daily. Perform final review and approve to produce payroll for electronic processing and distribute live checks as needed. Execute payroll reports. In coordination with HR dept., process new hire employees, update existing employee data and terminate employee information in the appropriate payroll period. Assist with new hire paperwork and add new employees into operating system. Accurately process employee benefits including insurance benefits, 401K contributions and other payments/reimbursements through payroll. Maintain employee files and confidentiality of employee and payroll information. Monitor legal compliance with regards to payroll and personnel file management Correspond with various state offices with regards to employment verifications, garnishments, wage requests, etc. Answer employee questions about wages, pay checks and benefits. Organize time off requests to be included with corresponding pay period and update the employee attendance record weekly. Other duties as needed Requirements of the Payroll Officer include, but are not limited to: 2+ years of payroll experience preferred Experience with QuickBooks strongly preferred Experience with MS Office, proficient with Excel and Word preferred Experience with isolved People Cloud HCM preferred Experience in the landscape/snow industry a plus This position requires the completion of a criminal background check upon the receipt of a job offer. This is being offered as a full-time position. Benefits are available in accordance with business practices, to include medical and dental insurance, group life insurance, long-term disability, short-term disability, 401K with 4% match, and more.
