Job Description

People, Payroll & Culture Coordinator The Role Are you the person who can balance a payroll to the penny, organize a great employee event, and notice when the office is mysteriously out of coffee before anyone asks? We're looking for a People, Payroll & Culture Coordinator to join our HR team. This is a hands-on, highly visible role for someone who enjoys both the importance of payroll and the people side of HR. You'll be responsible for processing payroll from start to finish while also helping create an organized, welcoming, and engaging workplace. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety. One day you may be reviewing payroll reports and resolving a timekeeping question; the next, you may be ordering supplies, coordinating an employee celebration, stocking the kitchen, or helping bring an HR initiative to life. What You'll Do Own Payroll Process payroll accurately and efficiently from beginning to end. Review timekeeping, attendance, PTO, deductions, earnings, and other payroll inputs. Maintain payroll records and respond to employee payroll questions. Coordinate payroll-related changes with HR, Finance, and employees. Assist with payroll reporting, audits, reconciliations, and year-end activities. Stay current on applicable payroll requirements and help ensure payroll practices remain compliant. Protect the confidentiality of payroll and employee information. Help Make Work a Great Place to Be Support employee engagement and workplace culture initiatives. Help plan and coordinate employee events, celebrations, lunches, parties, and company activities. Bring creative ideas to employee appreciation and engagement efforts. Help coordinate wellness activities, community events, and other culture-building programs. Assist with onboarding activities and help create a welcoming experience for new employees. Support HR communications and special projects. Keep the Workplace Running Coordinate ordering of office and kitchen supplies. Keep an eye on the little things that make a big difference—coffee, fruit, snacks, supplies, decorations, and event materials. Help maintain organized and welcoming common areas. Coordinate with vendors and service providers when needed. Assist with setting up and cleaning up after employee events and activities. Pitch in wherever needed to keep the workplace running smoothly. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, approachable, and willing to roll up their sleeves. You should be comfortable working with confidential information and numbers while also being comfortable coordinating events and assisting with HR related activities.
The ideal candidate:
Has solid experience processing payroll from start to finish; including year end audits and reporting. Understands basic HR practices and enjoys supporting employees. Is highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities. Has excellent attention to detail and follow-through. Is comfortable with HRIS/payroll systems and Microsoft Office. Communicates professionally and works well with employees at all levels. Takes initiative rather than waiting to be asked. Enjoys planning, organizing, and bringing ideas to life. Is willing to do whatever it takes to help the team and workplace succeed.
