full-time Client Overview Our client is a well-established company offering a strong team environment and opportunities for long-term growth. Our client is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join their team. Salary/Hourly Rate $20/hr - $23/hr Position Overview The Payroll Administrator will support payroll operations by compiling payroll data, maintaining payroll records, processing payroll-related transactions, and assisting with employee records and benefits-related activities. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional or someone with solid accounting experience who is interested in developing payroll skills. Responsibilities Of The Payroll Administrator Compile payroll data, including hours worked, bonuses, commissions, taxes, insurance contributions, and retirement deductions. Calculate wages and deductions, review payroll for accuracy, and maintain payroll records. Update employee payroll records, including tax exemptions, insurance, deductions, compensation changes, promotions, and transfers. Prepare and issue paychecks in paper and digital formats. Maintain records related to leave pay and non-taxable wages. Prepare payroll reports on a weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and as-needed basis. Complete hiring and termination paperwork in coordination with Human Resources. Maintain leave eligibility records, including vacation, holidays, sick time, and applicable state and federal leave. Process employee insurance forms and payments in coordination with Human Resources. Ensure payroll compliance with company policies and state and federal regulations. Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee information. Attend required training and meetings and perform other duties as assigned. Required Experience/Skills For The Payroll Administrator Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including spreadsheets and formulas. Some accounting experience. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to learn new payroll processes and systems. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to handle confidential information professionally. Reliable and dependable with strong attendance. Preferred Experience/Skills For The Payroll Administrator Payroll processing experience. ADP Enterprise experience. Experience with other payroll software. Experience supporting exempt and non-exempt employees. Knowledge of payroll taxes, deductions, benefits, and leave administration. Previous accounting or administrative experience. Education Requirements None required.
