Job Description

Meximodo Metuchen is looking for an experienced and reliable Line Cook to join our back-of-house team. This is a 30-40 hour per week position in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment. Candidates must have open availability, including weekends and holidays . We take pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and professional kitchen , and every member of our BOH team is expected to contribute to that standard. What You'll Do Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, specifications, and kitchen standards Set up, stock, organize, and maintain your assigned station before, during, and after service Keep your station clean and sanitary throughout the shift, including equipment, work surfaces, storage areas, and surrounding areas Restock ingredients, supplies, and other items needed for your station Work efficiently and consistently during high-volume service Assist with food preparation, receiving, stocking, and kitchen organization as needed Complete opening, closing, and cleaning responsibilities associated with your station Work collaboratively with other BOH team members to maintain a clean and efficient kitchen Assist with general kitchen cleaning and upkeep as needed Follow all food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety standards Perform other reasonable duties related to the position and restaurant operations as assigned What We're Looking For Previous line cook experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment is required Strong understanding of basic cooking techniques, food preparation, sanitation, and kitchen safety Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency during busy service Dependable, punctual, organized, and team-oriented Willingness to take responsibility for the cleanliness, organization, and readiness of your station Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and established kitchen procedures Open availability, including weekends and holidays, is required Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, including prolonged standing, frequent movement, bending, reaching, and lifting and carrying items commonly used in restaurant kitchen operations, with or without reasonable accommodation Must be legally permitted to work in the US Schedule Approximately 36-40 hours per week. Scheduling is based on business and operational needs. Weekend and holiday availability is required. Compensation $18.00-$21.00 per hour , based on relevant experience and qualifications.
