Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator for a temp-to-permanent opportunity. This is a great opportunity for a payroll professional who has hands-on experience independently processing payroll and is looking to continue growing their career within a professional Finance environment. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable taking ownership of payroll responsibilities, and able to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality. Responsibilities Independently process payroll from start to finish. Manage multiple payroll cycles while ensuring accuracy and timely completion. Review timesheets, employee records, wages, deductions, and payroll adjustments. Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and tax withholdings. Research and resolve payroll discrepancies. Maintain accurate payroll and employee records. Assist with payroll reconciliations and related accounting activities. Respond to employee payroll questions in a professional and timely manner. Support payroll audits and compliance-related activities. Partner with Finance and HR on payroll-related matters. Assist with additional Finance and accounting projects as needed. Qualifications Previous experience independently processing payroll is required. Experience with Paycom, ADP, UKG, Paychex, or a similar payroll/HRIS system. Knowledge of payroll practices, taxes, deductions, and wage regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and meet payroll deadlines. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately. Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
