Payroll Specialist Atlantic Group - 3.6 Long Island City, NY Job Details Contract $23 - $25 an hour 13 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Qualifications Accounting systems Confidential information handling Payroll tax processing Spreadsheets Employment law HR legal compliance Corporate accounting HR compliance Attention to detail QuickBooks Organizational skills Typing 10 key typing Financial data analysis tools Time & attendance systems Quality data entry Workday Data analysis software Financial compliance Full Job Description Responsibilities Process payroll accurately using various payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Ceridian, or UltiPro, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies Manage employee data entry, updates, and record maintenance within HRIS platforms and accounting software like QuickBooks or PeopleSoft Reconcile payroll accounts regularly, preparing journal entries and analyzing discrepancies to ensure financial accuracy Stay current on employment and labor law regulations to guarantee compliance in all payroll activities Handle payroll tax calculations, filings, and reporting in accordance with governmental requirements Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll issues promptly and efficiently Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee information while managing payroll data securely Requirements Proven experience in payroll management within a corporate accounting or finance environment Proficiency with payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, or similar platforms Strong knowledge of employment law, tax law, labor law compliance, and governmental accounting standards Familiarity with accounting concepts including double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, debits & credits, general ledger accounting, and financial analysis skills Experience working with HRIS systems like UltiPro or PeopleSoft; knowledge of time & attendance systems such as Kronos is a plus Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing) and attention to detail Ability to analyze complex data sets using spreadsheets and financial software effectively Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle confidential information responsibly #
INDBOS Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
