Job Description

Accountant / Payroll Specialist We are seeking an experienced Accountant / Payroll Specialist to join our growing accounting team. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong payroll experience who enjoys working with clients and wants the opportunity to grow within a fast-paced tax and accounting environment. This role offers hands-on experience, ongoing training, mentorship, and career advancement opportunities for a motivated individual looking to expand their knowledge in accounting, payroll, and tax services. Responsibilities Process multi-client payroll accurately and efficiently. Manage in-house payroll processing using QuickBooks Desktop Payroll . Prepare and file quarterly payroll tax filings. Prepare payroll reports and maintain payroll compliance documentation. Complete payroll audits, including workers' compensation audits , and assist with related compliance requirements. Prepare and review 1099 filings. Enter W-2s, 1099s, and other tax-related documents accurately into tax software. Assist with tax preparation by organizing, reviewing, and verifying client documentation. Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and perform account reconciliations. Reconcile bank and credit card accounts. Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information. Communicate professionally with clients and team members.
Qualifications Required:
Payroll processing experience.
Required:
Experience using QuickBooks Desktop Payroll. Experience preparing quarterly payroll tax filings. Experience handling payroll audits, including workers' compensation audits. Experience preparing 1099s and other payroll-related filings. 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or payroll experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Prior experience in a CPA firm, accounting office, or professional services environment is a plus. Why Join Us?
