Babbert specializes in manufacturing high-quality precast concrete products serving a diverse range of construction and infrastructure projects along with providing septic pumping and service to residential and commercial clients throughout the central Ohio area. We are committed to innovation, quality, and excellence in every product we deliver. Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Payroll Clerk to join our team. In this vital role, you will manage payroll processing and employee benefit administration, ensure compliance with labor and tax laws, and handle confidential employee information with integrity. Your expertise in payroll systems and accounting software will help us maintain accurate financial records and streamline payroll operations. This position is also responsible for providing support to the office staff with general office duties as required. Responsibilities Process payroll accurately and efficiently using the Paylocity payroll system Process new employees into the payroll system Provide benefit support and tracking for employees Interface with employees to answer questions and address payroll or benefit concerns Maintain compliance with employment and labor laws by staying current on tax law changes and payroll regulations Produce various payroll reports for management on a regular basis Review and verify employee information within HRIS (Human Resource Information System) platforms for accuracy and confidentiality Support the audit processes by preparing reports and analyzing payroll discrepancies Provide support to the office staff with general office duties as required Skills Proficiency with payroll systems such as Paylocity, HR Benefits or similar platforms supported for payroll processing Strong knowledge of employment & labor law, tax law, and financial concepts related to payroll management Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism Excellent data entry skills combined with analysis capabilities for troubleshooting discrepancies Excellent time management skills to ensure that employees receive timely payments Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook Proficiency in record keeping and file management (both physical and digital) Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations and labor law compliance requirements Proficiency in Titan 3000 Project Management System Join us to be a key contributor in ensuring precise payroll operations while supporting our company's growth. Pay:
$28.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
