Position Description:
The Payroll Specialist position is a major contributor to the organization in regard to ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of the weekly/biweekly employee payroll. Maintain employee files, process changes, field questions and communicate with all employees. This position also supports key areas of the Human Resources departments .Key Responsibilities:
Maintain employee database Process employee payroll each week Payroll reporting Answer employee questions as they arise Manage garnishments, contributions, 401k, flex and other payables Miscellaneous filing projects Support the development and maintenance of HRIS Module Misc. admin and clerical duties Must be able to handle high-pressure situations Responsible for completing certified payroll forms Establish and review the prevailing wage rates and fringe metrics per project Reconciled to the prevailing wage against the data sent to ADP and what appears on the payroll register Other projects as neededPreferred Education and Experience:
Associate s degree or some post-secondary education Payroll experience - 2-4 years with prevailing wage knowledge Union payroll experience Large scale payroll experience preferred (1000+ employees) ADP payroll platform specifically Time and Attendance and Workforce Now Ability to maintain strict confidentiality Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Positive attitude and professional behavior Previous HR experience a plusPreferred Competencies:
