This is a full-time Monday through Friday in-person role based in Chandler, AZ. This position is not remote or hybrid and does not offer relocation assistance. Position Purpose As our Payroll Associate, you will provide clerical and administrative support for payroll operations and related programs. This role is responsible for maintaining payroll records and documentation, processing payroll-related transactions, supporting weekly payroll activities, researching and resolving inquiries, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and payroll procedures. What You'll Do & How You'll Make a Difference
  • Maintain payroll documentation, records, and files
  • Perform audits of payroll files and records as needed
  • Enter and maintain data in HRIS and payroll systems
  • Process payroll transactions and payroll-related updates
  • Support weekly payroll processing activities
  • Process third-party sick leave transactions
  • Support apprentice pay programs and special payroll groups
  • Administer wage garnishments and related payroll deductions
  • Research and resolve payroll inquiries and discrepancies
  • Escalate complex issues to department leadership as appropriate
  • Compile data from multiple sources for payroll reporting
  • Prepare and distribute routine payroll reports
  • Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and union contract provisions
  • Provide general clerical and administrative support to the payroll department Qualifications Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • One (1+) year of payroll or accounting experience
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience considered Required Knowledge
  • Payroll processes and procedures
  • Payroll regulations and compliance requirements
  • Microsoft Word and Excel applications
  • Payroll and accounting software systems
  • General office practices and procedures
  • General Ledger, accounting, or tax experience preferred Skills & Abilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately
