$35-$45 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday; occasional evening or weekend availability may be required during critical payroll cycles About the Opportunity A growing human resources technology and managed-services organization is seeking an experienced Payroll Processing Analyst to join its payroll services team. This position is responsible for supporting accurate and timely payroll processing for multiple clients. The Payroll Processing Analyst will manage recurring payroll cycles, research discrepancies, reconcile payroll-related accounts, prepare required reports, and respond to client questions and service requests. The position is fully remote; however, candidates located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area are preferred due to the company's Addison-area headquarters and the possibility of occasional onsite meetings or training. Responsibilities Prepare, process, review, and audit biweekly and semimonthly payrolls for multiple clients Review timecards, deductions, benefits, health insurance elections, garnishments, and other payroll data for accuracy Process employee and employer payroll changes within established deadlines Research payroll discrepancies and resolve client questions through calls, emails, and case-management systems Create and distribute reports involving leave balances, overtime, retirement contributions, taxes, and other payroll activity Reconcile payroll-related general-ledger accounts, including payroll taxes, workers' compensation, 401(k) contributions, and garnishments Review payroll transactions to ensure accurate posting to the general ledger Prepare quarterly and annual payroll reports for federal and state authorities Reconcile quarterly and year-end payroll tax accounts Complete fiscal year-end reporting and reconcile W-2 information for accuracy Prepare monthly workers' compensation reports Assist with payroll, workers' compensation, and financial audits Maintain and update payroll procedures, system documentation, training materials, and processing manuals Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, accuracy, and efficiency Support additional payroll and client-service responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience Demonstrated hands-on payroll processing experience Experience independently supporting complete payroll cycles from preparation through reconciliation Experience with multistate, multi-entity, or multi-client payroll strongly preferred Working knowledge of payroll taxes, deductions, garnishments, benefits, general-ledger reconciliation, and year-end reporting Experience researching payroll discrepancies and resolving employee or client questions Proficiency with payroll systems and Microsoft Excel SAP payroll or SAP Employee Central Payroll experience is strongly preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple payroll calendars, priorities, and deadlines Ability to work independently within a remote environment while collaborating closely with a larger team Willingness to work occasional nights or weekends when required by payroll deadlines Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a hands-on payroll professional who understands that payroll requires accuracy, urgency, confidentiality, and excellent customer service. This individual should be comfortable managing multiple client payrolls, investigating discrepancies, communicating directly with clients, and stepping into a growing managed-services environment. Candidates with experience working for a payroll provider, professional employer organization, outsourced payroll service, shared-services center, or multi-entity organization are particularly encouraged to apply. Additional Information This position is expected to begin as a contract assignment and may have the potential to convert to permanent employment. Contract duration, conversion timeline, and permanent compensation will be discussed during the interview process.
