Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team and ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our organization for either a full-time or part time position. In this role, you will manage payroll systems, maintain compliance with federal and state labor laws, and handle confidential employee information with integrity. Your expertise in payroll software and accounting principles will be vital in supporting our HR and finance teams to deliver seamless payroll operations that empower our employees and uphold organizational standards. Duties Process payroll accurately using Quickbooks Time and and Quickbooks Payroll. Manage payroll tax calculations, filings, and compliance with employment and labor law regulations across jurisdictions. Maintain and update employee records to reflect changes in employment status, pay rates, benefits, or tax information. Conduct analysis of payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors, ensuring timely resolution through data entry corrections or system adjustments. Ensure confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information and adhere strictly to data security protocols. Requirements Strong understanding of employment law, labor law compliance, payroll tax regulations, and financial concepts related to payroll processing. Experience calculating and reporting Prevailing Wage. Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel), accounting software, and financial analysis tools for report generation and reconciliation tasks. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining high attention to detail under tight deadlines. Excellent analytical skills with a focus on accuracy in data entry and account reconciliation processes.
