POSITION OVERVIEW
This role is part of the Corporate Payroll team and is based at Milliken's corporate campus in Spartanburg, SC. The position is responsible for supporting payroll operations to ensure processes are executed efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with the highest standards of quality. Key responsibilities include the daily administration of garnishments and other payroll-related tasks. This position reports directly to the Payroll Supervisor.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Administer daily processing of wage garnishments, including setup, maintenance, and resolution of related inquiries. Provide administrative support to the Corporate Payroll team to maintain high standards of accuracy and timeliness. Assist with various payroll functions, including data entry, auditing, and reporting. Process and audit weekly payroll to ensure compliance and accuracy. Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies to resolve payroll-related issues. Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with company policies and federal/state regulations. Other administrative tasks as required
QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED
High school diploma or equivalent Intermediate Excel skills Two or more years of payroll experience Two or more years of garnishment experience
QUALIFICATIONS - PREFERRED SAP
experience WorkForce software experience Associate's degree The successful candidate will have strengths in the following:
Confidentiality & Discretion:
Ability to handle sensitive employee data and payroll-related documents with care and sound judgment.
Payroll Law & Regulation Knowledge:
Familiarity with federal, state, and local garnishment rules, including child support, tax levies, and creditor garnishments.
SAP HCM Knowledge:
Familiarity with SAP HCM software and its use in payroll processes.
Analytical Thinking:
Ability to interpret legal documents, calculate deductions, and reconcile discrepancies.
Time Management:
Ability to manage recurring payroll schedules, prioritize tasks, and meet strict garnishment deadlines.
Communication Skills:
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with HR, legal teams, employees, and external agencies.
Problem-Solving:
