Job Description
Description We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. This part-time position requires onsite availability three days a week, specifically Monday through Wednesday, with a focus on handling payroll operations efficiently and accurately. As a Contract to permanent position, this opportunity offers potential for long-term growth within our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Process biweekly payroll for approximately 260 field employees and 30 office staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconcile invoices and organizational records, while managing garnishments and deductions as required.
- Maintain and update employee data in payroll systems to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Generate and analyze payroll reports to support organizational decision-making.
- Build strong relationships with team members to understand business needs and facilitate seamless payroll operations.
- Address payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly to ensure employee satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to payroll and taxation.
- Collaborate with the HR and finance teams to streamline payroll processes and improve operational efficiency. Requirements
- Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing, preferably for medium to large-sized teams.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems, procedures, and relevant regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive payroll data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for payroll reporting and analysis.
- Effective communication skills to interact with employees and team members professionally.
- Familiarity with handling garnishments, deductions, and tax compliance.
- Experience in reconciling payroll records and resolving discrepancies effectively.
