Reporting to the Payroll & HRIS Analyst, this position is responsible for coordination of activities required to process payroll and support HRIS related activities for all BioUrja Group companies. Duties include report writing, problem solving, system testing, and answering inquiries. Assists in development of overall payroll and HRIS procedures by recommending improvements or changes when deemed necessary for greater efficiency.RESPONSIBILITIES
Support weekly union, semi-monthly, and monthly payroll processing, including opening requiredSITW/SUI
accounts as needed. Assist with Audits on benefit, worker's compensation, payroll and other audits as necessary. Provide reports upon request, payroll reporting, monthly census, and any ad hoc reports. Respond to Verifications of employments, Interrogatories, and any employee queries. Assist with direct deposit and/or check-card accounts. Complete QuarterlySUI/SITW
filings and address any queries received from federal and state tax and payroll related agencies. Maintain a high level of security and confidentiality of sensitive information. Provide support of other Payroll and HRIS duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS 1 - 2
years of payroll experience - prefer knowledge of Paylocity. Experience with Union environment preferred. Preferred Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or Business (or related experience). Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision to accomplish the goals and tasks of the department. Good written and verbal communication skills. Exercise confidentiality concerning the affairs of the business. Excelling time management, initiative and productivity skills.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
