Payroll Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist (Contract) to support payroll operations for a growing organization based in Bellevue, Washington. This role will be responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and supporting employees with payroll-related inquiries. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesProcess full‑cycle payroll on a regular schedule (weekly, bi‑weekly, or semi‑monthly)Ensure compliance with federal, state (including Washington State), and local payroll regulationsMaintain and audit payroll records, including wages, deductions, garnishments, and benefitsReconcile payroll reports and resolve payroll discrepanciesCoordinate with HR and Finance teams regarding new hires, terminations, and compensation changesRespond to employee payroll questions in a professional and timely mannerAssist with payroll‑related reporting, audits, and year‑end activities (including W‑2 support)Support continuous improvement of payroll processes and controls
