Job Description

Payroll Specialist Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join its Human Resources team. This individual will play a key role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while supporting payroll compliance, data integrity, and continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and collaborative, with the ability to manage sensitive information in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role is on-site in Tacoma, Washington. Payroll Specialist Responsibilities Process multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule while maintaining payroll data integrity. Reconcile payroll records, validate reports, and resolve payroll discrepancies before processing. Administer payroll-related activities, including timekeeping, garnishments, tax reporting, and year-end payroll functions. Collaborate with HR and internal teams to manage payroll imports, research data issues, and ensure accurate employee records. Maintain compliance with applicable payroll regulations, internal policies, and confidentiality standards while supporting process improvements and cross-functional initiatives. Payroll Specialist Qualifications 2-5+ years of payroll experience. Knowledge of payroll systems, payroll tax regulations, and wage and hour compliance. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other business software used for payroll administration. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage confidential information, prioritize multiple deadlines, and communicate effectively with employees and leadership.
Compensation:
