Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to support payroll operations across five companies with approximately 190 employees total in Washington and Oregon. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands multi-entity and multi-state payroll, and can confidently manage payroll compliance from start to finish. The ideal candidate has strong full-cycle payroll processing experience, understands garnishments, payroll taxes, and compliance requirements, and is comfortable helping transition payroll operations from QuickBooks Payroll into Rippling. This position works closely with leadership, accounting, and HR teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while supporting employee data accuracy and payroll compliance. This role will serve as a key payroll resource for the organization and play an important part in payroll process improvements and Rippling implementation. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Vancouver, WA supporting payroll operations across multiple affiliated companies. Responsibilities Process and manage biweekly payroll for approximately 190 employees across 5 companies/entities in Washington and Oregon Process full-cycle payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple companies and states Handle all aspects of payroll administration including multi-state payroll compliance, payroll taxes, garnishments, deductions, wage calculations, sick time/PTO tracking, and payroll reporting Assist with the ongoing implementation and transition to Rippling Payroll Maintain accurate employee payroll records within payroll and HRIS systems Audit payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Collaborate closely with HR, accounting, and leadership teams regarding employee updates, payroll changes, onboarding, and compliance matters Ensure compliance with federal, Washington, and Oregon payroll laws and regulations Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations, audits, and related administrative tasks Support payroll process improvements and system optimization initiatives Qualifications 3+ years of payroll administration experience preferred Strong multi-entity and multi-state payroll experience required Experience processing payroll for 150+ employees preferred Experience with full-cycle payroll processing required Experience with Washington and Oregon payroll compliance strongly preferred Experience with Rippling strongly preferred Experience with QuickBooks Payroll preferred Payroll implementation or system migration experience preferred Experience in construction, restoration, trades, or multi-location environments preferred Knowledge of payroll taxes, garnishments, deductions, and compliance requirements Familiarity with payroll and HRIS systems such as Rippling, ADP, Paychex, Workday, or similar platforms Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and high level of accuracy Self-starter with the ability to problem solve, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities effectively Ability to handle confidential information professionally Strong communication and problem-solving skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment with multiple priorities Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match up to 3% Life and AD&D insurance
