Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for full cycle weekly payroll for company drivers and settlements for independent contractors. Will communicate daily with drivers and independent contractors requiring utmost confidentiality. Will work closely with other internal departments such as Billing, Safety, and Operations. Will also work with outside contacts such as state officials, outside vendors and state agencies regarding payroll situations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Process all company driver payroll including, but not limited to, day rate pay, hourly pay, mileage pay, vacation pay, bonuses, trainee pay, trainer pay, and other applicable earnings. Audit pay boards and review each company driver's payroll for accuracy prior to final payroll processing. Build and maintain new driver pay master records to ensure accurate payroll setup and processing. Assist with independent contractor settlements as needed. Communicate with drivers and internal departments regarding payroll-related questions and discrepancies. Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and payroll procedures. Support payroll operations by completing reports, audits, and other payroll-related tasks as assigned. Other duties as assigned. SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent; required
Experience:
6+ months of relevant experience. AS400 experience; a plus
Computer Skills:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Windows. Ability to learn and use proprietary software.
